PROVOST COMMISSIONS ANOTHER NEW CBT CENTER

The Provost of Federal College of Education, Zaria, Dr. Suleiman Balarabe, has officially commissioned a newly completed, cutting-edge CBT Center in the College. This facility boasts a capacity of 408 seats, designed to provide students with world-class resources and enhance their learning experience.

During the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Suleiman Balarabe emphasized the importance of embracing the digital age, which he believes is the future of teacher-education. This manifests in the recently assented Federal Colleges of Education Establishment Act (2024), which propagates the integration of technology into the education system. He stressed the need for teachers to guide students in accessing knowledge, rather than being the sole possessors of knowledge, to build a brighter future for the younger generations.

Dr. Matemilola Peter, Dean of Undergraduate Studies (ABU Affl.), expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that the college would have achieved greater advancements if such facilities had been established decades ago. He offered prayers for the college's continued progress and prosperity.

Arc. Hassan Buba, Director of Works, highlighted the numerous projects completed and ongoing since Dr. Suleiman Balarabe's tenure, including:

- 2 completed and 1 ongoing CBT centers
- Total ICT
- TETFund Center of Excellence
- Former Mopol block
- New Maths Block
- F Block
- Theatre
- Many other projects, demonstrating the college's commitment to digitalizing academic activities.

The Bursar, (Dr) Muhammad Sani Uwaisu, commended the Provost, noting that if the college had such structures 10-20 years ago, it would have been better than its current state.

The Contractor, Bldr. Usman of NURUUN ALA-NUR INVESTMENT LTD, commended the college's supportive staff for their invaluable recommendations and support during the project.

Present at the occasion were Management Team, Deans, Directors, Heads of Units, Union leaders, students and staff.
