  • OMOH! IT IS 9 YEARS AGO ALREADY🥹

November 22, 2015, feels just like yesterday. I was just a young junior secondary school student in Akwanga, full of curiosity and a budding interest in politics, both at the national level and Kogi State

The 2015 Kogi State gubernatorial election was a showdown between Captain Idris Wada and Prince Abubakar Audu ... I still vividly remember catching a glimpse of Prince Audu in 2015 during the APC/AlMakura Gubernatorial Mega Rally in Central Pilot school Akwanga. Even though I couldn’t get close to him because of the heavy security around the VIP canopy, I was confident it was him It was a surreal moment for me, a young boy far from home but already captivated by the politics of Kogi

Back then, APC was still a relatively new party, but I had already fallen in love with its ideology. As the November 2015 Kogi election drew closer, the political tension in the air was palpable. Social media was buzzing with complaints about the incumbent, Governor Idris Wada, and there was so much hope that Audu would bring the change the people desperately needed

I closely followed the APC primaries on August 30, 2015. When the results came in, Audu secured 1,009 votes while Yahaya Bello, a surprising new contender, scored 703.... The numbers were impressive, but Audu’s victory felt inevitable... I believed he was the right man for the job, and from my little corner in Akwanga, I prayed for his success

Fast forward to election day, November 21, 2015. I watched it live on Channels TV as Prince Audu stepped out to cast his vote, dressed elegantly in his signature attire. Excitement filled the air – APC was on the verge of making history in Kogi State But, oh, the struggle of following updates! NEPA’s light was as unreliable as ever, and I had to rely on my trusty Nokia Express Music to stay connected , flipping between Facebook and 2go for live updates... Here, I don't know Twitter yet

Then came November 22, 2015, the day that began with so much hope but ended in heartbreak. As collation results trickled in, APC was leading, and victory seemed assured . But suddenly, the unthinkable happened. News broke that Prince Abubakar Audu had passed away🥹 "Oh are you sure? This must be fake news,” I thought. Just yesterday, we watched him vote on TV. It couldn’t be true! But as the hours passed, the devastating confirmation came... The man who was on the verge of making history was no more

That Sunday turned black for Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole. The dream was shattered, and the loss was immeasurable

Today, nine years later, we still remember Adoja Prince Abubakar Audu for his service, his leadership, and the hope he gave to Kogi people.

May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace. Ameen
OMOH! IT IS 9 YEARS AGO ALREADY🥹 November 22, 2015, feels just like yesterday😀. • Encouraging chaos by Rotimi Amaechi is both reckless and unpatriotic. - APC

In statement released by Felix Morka,
    National Publicity Secretary APC.

The statement reads: “From the lavish comfort of his “proverbial glass house”, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, former Minister of Transport and Governor of Rivers state, in a recent interview, berated Nigerian youth for not protesting “high cost of living” in the country to his morbid satisfaction.

“Amaechi’s comments are insensitive, god-awful and unpatriotic, coming from one of Nigeria’s longest serving and highest ranking political freeloaders - a two-term Speaker of the Rivers state House of Assembly, a two-term Governor, and a two-term Minister of Transport.

“For almost all of his adult life, Amaechi, has been a leechy dependant on state resources, a voracious beneficiary of official patronage, and a leading participant in the generational devastation of our country’s economy. Attempting to hoodwink Nigerians into his web of false empathy and incitement to violence is hypocritical, provocative and dangerous.

“If those in power “steal money” as Amaechi mischievously alleged, how come he can’t afford “to buy diesel” barely two years after “stealing” for over 24 years in power as Speaker, Governor and Minister?

“The only real anger that Amaechi and his fellow tribesmen of naysayers of the likes of Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, must feel is that they are not in the saddle of government today. But that was a decision made by Nigeria’s ultimate political authority - the electorate. Nigerians are highly perceptive, discerning, demure, and mindful that economic discomforts associated with the administration’s inevitable reforms are transient and will pale into insignificance in comparison to the enduring transformative dividends which are already beginning to manifest. Nigerians will not be cajoled into taking back through street violence what they handed to the administration through the ballot, as Amaechi and his partisan tribesmen would wish.

“It is nauseating to think that these naysayer tribesmen who did absolutely nothing to improve the economy or living conditions for Nigerians while they were in office, now pontificate, endlessly, about what and how things should be done but didn’t and couldn’t do while in power.

“It’s as though they only regain their senses and discover their talents for governance when they are out of power. A tribe of naysayers, is what they are, who never see any good, only gloom, filled with bile and disdain for the determined strides of APC-administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to transform our country’s economy for the benefit of present and future generations of Nigerians.

One would expect Amaechi to keep busy trying to solve the crippling crisis in Rivers state that he once governed. Instead, he has chosen to stoke anarchy on a national scale. Weaponizing protest and exploiting citizen’s economic discomfort for selfish political objective, as these partisan tribesmen are doing, is irresponsible and decidedly unpatriotic.

“We urge Nigerians to dismiss the call to anarchy by Amaechi and his partisan tribesmen and to remain patient and continue to support President Tinubu’s bold effort to transform our country’s economy once and for all.”

  • 12th Rabiul-Awwal::::
In the month of Rabiul-Awwal, when grace filled the air, Came the Messenger of truth, with love and care. Muhammad, the beacon, a light so grand, Leading us gently with a compassionate hand.

I, Naziru Mohammed Suleiman, Khadim of Sheikh Musa Kado, humbly reflect on the timeless beauty of our Prophet's life and message. Today, as we rejoice in his memory, I rededicate my love and admiration for the greatest of men. May his legacy forever uplift us.

He brought peace to the troubled, hope to the lost, And for the truth, he paid every cost. His words, like pearls, still shine in our soul, A mercy to mankind, he made us whole.

With wisdom and patience, he showed us the way, Inspiring our hearts with every word he’d say. A servant of Allah, steadfast and true, His legacy remains in everything we do.

As we celebrate this blessed occasion once more, We honor his virtues and the light he bore. May his teachings continue to shine so bright, Guiding our hearts, even through the darkest night.

The Man who is truly living his Name. He's concerned about the wellbeing of everyone and everything he sees.
I remember he solely drove from Abuja to pick me and my newly wedded wife just to avoid public vehicle.
I remember during water scarcity at Kogi State University hostel, Tenimu would filled his old 504 Peugeot with water for students.
I remember him meeting accident victims at KSU gate, and drove them to Makurdi.
I remember him using credit card to pay someone's flight ticket to avoid missing flight.
    And the lists go on.
May the Almighty God Creator be concerned about all of your affairs.
From all of at Ayema Networks Ltd we wish a blissful Birthday.

  • Press Release

The final batch of 2024 Hajj pilgrims from Nigeria is scheduled to depart from the King Abdul Azeez International Airport in Jeddah on the morning of July 16, 2024. A total of 312 pilgrims from Kwara will be arriving in Ilorin via an Air Peace airline flight. This marks the 119th return flight from Saudi Arabia to Nigeria.

During the first phase of the Hajj operation, NAHCON ran a total of 121 flights, which has now been reduced to 119 flights for the return journey. The reduction in flights was attributed to the maximum utilization of seats during the return journeys. The return journey ends three days ahead of schedule being earlier planned to end by 19th of July 2024.

The Commission’s chartered airlines took 27 days to transport all pilgrims into the Kingdom during the first phase of the Hajj journey, with the return phase now lasting 25 days. By the 25th day of the outbound flight from Nigeria, a total of 47,171 pilgrims were transported, while 50,091 were able to return to Nigeria within the same span of 25 days in the second phase.

In a closing ceremony at the Hajj Terminal in Jeddah airport, Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi expressed gratitude to the Almighty for the successful completion of the return journey. He commended stakeholders for their cooperation and the pilgrims for their prayers for their leaders at federal and state levels. The Chairman urged them to continue praying for the success of their leaders and to maintain their good conduct, describing this year’s Hajj achievements as a promise fulfilled. He promised that the Commission would achieve even greater success next year based on the lessons learned this year.

The Chairman also assured that preparations for the 2025 Hajj have already begun.

Senator Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, the Amirul Hajj for Kwara state, expressed his gratitude to the NAHCON Chairman for his quick responses to issues and stated his conviction to thank him publicly and privately. Senator Olriegbe who spoke in Yoruba and English appreciated the Commission for its timely processing of visas, the convenient stay in Madinah not more than four days all within the first phase. The Amirul Hajj on behalf of the pilgrims thanked their governor, thanked NAHCON as well as other Hajj officials from the states and stakeholders.
