The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), has initiated steps to withdraw the charges against the 32 minors who were presented before Justice Obiora Egwuatu at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The attorney representing all 119 defendants, Marshall Abubakar, stated that actions are underway to dismiss the charges against the minors this week, particularly following the Attorney General's request for the case file to be transferred.
He stated, “The government has been calling; the AGF has called. I think, most likely, by next week (this week) we will get the charges thrown out.”
