ABU STUDENT PACKAGE
I was reading this book last year when I came across a very important narration on good leadership. There was a time when the town of Hijaz was faced by severe famine and drought. Immediately, their leader, Umar (R.A), ordered for supply of food, and he personally took part in distributing it to the needy. During this trying time, Umar refused all luxuries, saying, when he was urged to take care of his health: "If I don't taste the suffering, how will I feel the suffering of others." As a good Muslim, Governor Badaru should borrow a leaf from this story. He should come back, sympathize and bring succour to the poor people of Jigawa State, whom he swore to serve.
