In a significant development in the fight against terrorism, personnel from the Joint Task Force Northwest OPHD have successfully neutralized the infamous bandit leader Kachallah Buzu, in along with several of his militants in Zamfara state.

The operation that occurred on the night of September 12 in Mayanchi village was conducted as a result of a strategic ambush set by the military, based on intelligence regarding the movements of the terrorists.

According to intelligence sources shared with Zagazola Makama, the ambush resulted in the elimination of several bandits, including their leader, Buzu.

Alongside the considerable fatalities suffered by the insurgents, the forces captured 30 motorcycles and a substantial stockpile of arms, significantly hindering the group's ability to operate effectively.
