If retaliation becomes our path, where my brother's death leads to the killing of yours, we are engaging in a dangerous cycle of vengeance. This is not justice—it’s a destructive pattern where each act of retribution only spurs more violence, leaving our community fragmented and bereft.
The principle of "an eye for an eye" might seem fair, but it will only lead to a community where everyone is blinded by anger and loss. Instead, we must embrace forgiveness and break the cycle of violence. Let us be the ones to choose peace and reconciliation, allowing those who have erred to make amends and move forward.
Our land has suffered too much already. We have lost too many lives, and the time has come to end this senseless bloodshed. Let us commit to a future where peace prevails, where our focus shifts from revenge to healing and unity.
