BIOGRAPHY OF SHAIKH SALMAN ADAM.

Hajia Aminat Mahmud Adaji

Educational background:
- Started his educational career at the age of seven (7 years) with the N.A primary school, Ankpa.
- He went for his Qur'anic Education at Nasarawa Loko in the then Plateau State with eminent Scholar named Mallam Ja'afaru (Late).
- He later returned for further Qur'anic studies in Dekina local government now in Kogi state with his scholar, Late Alhaji Muhammed Mijin- Yawa.
- He later proceeded to Ma' ahdi Islamiyya, now Institute of Arabic and Islamic studies in Lokoja at residence of the renowned Shaikh Yusuf Abdullah for several years.
- He further bagged a higher Islamic Education Certificate at the school for Arabic studies (SAS) in Kano state between the period of 1969 - 1972 (4 years).
- He later joined a diploma program in Arabic and Islamic studies at Abdullahi Bayero college (now Bayero university, Kano) an affiliate program with Ahmadu Bello University ABU, Zaria.
-Afterwards, he got admission to Ja'amiyetul Melikil Sau'd (King Sau'd University) Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a first degree (B.Ed) in Arabic and Islamic studies/ Education between the year of 1980 - 1984 (4 years).
- He later returned to Nigeria for his compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC )in Yola, the then Gongola state 1985.
- He further gained admission into the prestigious Ahmedu Bello University (ABU), Zaria for his Masters Degree in curriculum and instruction (Islamic studies) where he was given a project thesis on the politics of the companions of prophet Muhammed (SAW); Asiyasiyyetus - Sahabas but could not finished due to the call for the Divine assignment as Chief Imam of Ankpa Kogi state.
Working Experience:
- As a class Tutor in Arabic and Islamic studies with the Kano state ministry of Education at several government colleges and particularly, Rumfa college, Kano state between 1975 - 1978.
- Teaching Practice (T. P) in a renowned Primary school in Riyadh- Saudi Arabia.
- As a class Tutor with the Benue state ministry of Education in Arabic and Islamic studies at the then secondary School Abejukolo now in Omala Local government.
- As a class Tutor with the Kogi state ministry of Education in Arabic and Islamic studies at Young Muslim Congress (YMC), secondary School Ankpa - Kogi state between 1991 - 1996.
- As a Lecturer with the School of Languages at Kogi state college of education KSCOE, Ankpa before proceeding for Masters Degree at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University ABU, Zaria which was later truncated due to tedious nature of the position of Imamship saddled on him as examined from his previous excellent in Islamic education, prudential, tolerances, coherent, natural talent etc ; A tutor with long experience and intellectually, known with religious advocacy and moral uprightness made the people of Ankpa to have called him back home to take the highest cadre of Islamic leadership as the Chief Imam Ankpa in 1996 till today.
