In the 1st century BCE, one of the famous hotbed of pirate attacks was the region of southern Anatolia known as Cilicia Trachea (Rough Cilicia). Even the Roman empire was afraid of the pirates around this region.

One day, in 75 BCE, a band of Cilician pirates in the Aegean Sea captured 25-year-old Julius Caesar. Caesar was on his way to school— he was going to Rhodes to study oratory.

The pirates made the biggest mistake of their lives.

They didn't know whom they had captured. They didn't even observe carefully enough to see that Caesar wasn't afraid and wasn't behaving like a captive.

Never for once did Caesar behaved like a captive. He made himself comfortable in the pirates captivity and he will often joke with them that he will have them crücifïed.

When they demanded for a ransom of 20 talents, Caesar told them that was too small. He offered to pay them 50 instead.

38 days later, the ransome was paid and Caesar was set free. Once free, Caesar set up a small group of army and went back to the pirates.

He captured all of them and crücifîed them as he had promised, thus, he kept his money and his words.

TIGRAYAN PEOPLE OF ETHIOPIA

Tigrayans are a Semitic speaking ethnic group found in northern Ethiopia in the Tigray region. Tigrayans are highly influenced by their Orthodox Christianity being one of the earliest people to practice Christianity in the world. They are successors of the Mighty Aksumite empire & civilization.

Ethiopian Airlines has suspended two Pilots who fell asleep and missed their landing during a flight from Khartoum, Sudan to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

They were flying at over 30,000 feet in air.
