Necromancer – Blood Wave Core Build Is Meta

Necromancers have once again broken the system thanks to Diablo 4 Items chaos perks.

Alter the Balance turns Blood Wave into a core skill, removes its cooldown, and makes it cost Essence.
Alternating Alterations stacks multipliers when alternating core skills.

The combo transforms Blood Wave into a spammable nuke with huge scaling potential. Pair it with Bloodless Scream via Chaos Armor, and Necros unlock DPS slots previously unavailable.

Other builds like Bone Spear remain strong, while Skeletal Mage builds still suffer from AI limitations.

PTR Verdict: Blood Wave Necro is meta-defining and one of the strongest boss-killers.

Rogue – Death Trap Keeps Them Afloat

Rogue continues to struggle compared to other classes, though it has one standout.

Death Trap builds are the strongest and most consistent, especially in Infernal Hordes.
Twisting Blades, once dominant, lost synergy with new Chaos Perks.
A reload-based unique offers burst DPS but feels clunky in practice.

Some perk combos like A Beast Cornered + Marred Guard offer higher damage when at buy D4 Gold low health, but the survivability tradeoff makes them risky.
PTR Verdict: Playable but underpowered. Death Trap remains the safe choice.
