What is the Ball Valve? 

A ball valve is a shut off type of valve that regulates the passage of liquids or gases by means of a turning ball with a bore. The valve is open if the hole of the ball is aligned with the flow and closes the flow when turned 90 degrees. Ball valves are noted for their rapid shut off, tight closure and minimal maintenance need. 

Main Parts of a Ball Valve

Working Mechanism
