The launch of Last Epoch: Tombs of the Erased, which went live on April 17, 2025, marks the game’s largest update to date, introducing a vast amount of new content, gameplay improvements, and endgame expansion Last Epoch Gold. This Season 2 update brings significant changes that reshape both the campaign and endgame experience in the action RPG world of Eterra.

1.Major New Content and Features
Tombs and Cemeteries of the Erased are the centerpiece of the new endgame content. These procedurally generated side zones appear within Monolith of Fate runs, offering fresh challenges and rich rewards. Tombs are smaller side encounters, while Cemeteries are larger, fully-fledged Echoes with their own layouts and objectives. Both feature tougher enemies, new bosses, and unique loot, including the new currency Memory Amber, which is essential for progression within the new Woven Faction system.

The Woven Faction introduces a new layer of strategic depth to the Monolith progression. Players use Memory Amber to unlock and place Woven Echoes on the Monolith web, which customize the content they encounter—ranging from boss fights to loot-focused routes. Progression in the Woven Faction unlocks the Weaver Tree, a passive skill tree that allows players to tailor difficulty, rewards, and mechanics within these Echoes, granting unprecedented control over the endgame experience.

2. Class and Skill Reworks
The update features a comprehensive rework of the Sentinel class, including major changes to base skills and the introduction of wielding two-handed weapons in new ways. Many other skills across classes have been refined for smoother gameplay, better balance, and improved visual and sound effects. Quality-of-life improvements include smoother evade mechanics, better minion AI, and fixes to skill bugs and cooldowns.

3. Dungeon Enhancements and New Mechanics
Season 2 also introduces Key Charms that modify dungeon runs, such as Portal Charms to skip directly to bosses with modifiers, and Scale Charms that increase loot lizard spawn rates. Players can now respawn in dungeons by spending keys, and a new spectate mode lets dead players watch ongoing fights buy Last Epoch Gold.

4. Community Engagement and Supporter Packs
