The Maharashtra NEET 2025 counselling has started on July 23, 2025, with the registration process. CET Cell Maharashtra has revised the Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025 Round 1 dates. The Maharashtra NEET 2025 counselling registration process for all courses will conclude on August 4, 2025, 11.59 PM,  instead of July 30, 2025. The last date to pay the registration fee and upload documents is August 5, 2025, 11.59 PM. The Maharashtra NEET 2025 Counselling Merit List will be released on August 6, 2025, for MBBS and BDS courses. The seat matrix will also be released on the same date. 

CET Cell Maharashtra has announced that the Maharashtra NEET counselling Registration 2025 without APAAR ID is permissible for candidates seeking admission to the MBBS, BDS courses in Maharashtra state. Further, the authoriies have also notified the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates have to upload their certificates in the state format only. 

The Maharashtra NEET 2025 Counselling Round 1 choice filling process will be conducted from August 6, 2025, 3 PM onwards to August 9, 2025, 11.59 PM. The seat allotment result will be declared on August 11, 2025. Institute reporting and filling of the Retention Form has to be done between August 12, 2025, and August 17, 2025, 5.30 PM. The Maharashtra NEET 2025 counselling dates for the other programmes will be released later. 

Maharashtra NEET Counselling is being conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra, for admission to Undergraduate medical and allied courses offered by the colleges in Maharashtra. The state counselling process is conducted in a completely online mode, except for the last round, which is the institute reporting or the document verification process. 

The Maharashtra NEET UG counselling 2025 will have four to five stages: registration, choice filling, release of merit list, seat allotment result and institute reporting and document verification. Only those candidates who would qualify for NEET 2025 will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. 

The NEET 2025 exam was conducted on May 4, 2025. The NEET 2025 result was declared by June 14, 2025, along with the NEET 2025 cutoff. Approximately 22 lakh candidates have appeared for the exam, which is around two lakh lesser than last year. As many as 12,36,531 candidates have qualified for NEET 2025, and the number of candidates qualifying from Maharashtra is 1,25,727. The Maharashtra NEET 2025 counselling is being conducted for five to six rounds, till seats of all courses are filled.

To participate in the counselling process for MBBS and BDS and allied course seats, one must have qualified for NEET 2025. A total of 9,000 MBBS and 3,526 BDS seats in the state will be filled through Maharashtra NEET UG counselling 2025.
