In June 2025, China's first unmanned real-time monitoring system for estuarine carbon and nitrogen flux (ECOFIMS) was put into pilot application at the mouth of the Minjiang River. The system is independently developed by the MMIS team, which collects real-time data on water temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, etc. through a sensor network, and combines AI algorithms to analyze the carbon and nitrogen cycling process, providing scientific basis for marine ecological protection.  ‌

AI technology can identify pollution sources such as industrial sewage outlets and ship leaks, and track pollution trajectories in real time by analyzing water quality parameters such as pH value and heavy metal content. For example, predicting the diffusion path of pollutants based on ocean currents and wind direction, optimizing treatment plans to reduce costs and improve efficiency.  ‌
Ecological assessment and early warning
AI environmental perception technology integrates user pressure index, tidal phase and other data to generate coastline adaptation reports (including 7-dimensional scoring indicators), assisting decision-makers in optimizing marine resource management. In the red tide warning scenario, AI identifies abnormal areas by analyzing satellite images to achieve accurate warning.  ‌
