How to apply for Punjab NEET UG Counselling

Punjab NEET 2025 counselling dates and schedule will be announced soon. Baba Farid Unversity of Health Sciences (BFUHS) will be releasing the whole schedule along with the official brochure online. It must be noted qualifying NEET 2025 is a mandatory criterion for Punjab NEET 2025 counselling. NEET 2025 was held on May 4, 2025.
The counselling is being held by BFUHS for allotment of 85% state quaota seats. Candidates will have to apply online and submit application form for Punjab NEET Counselling 2025. Candidates will have to register on the official website, bfuhs.ac.in. Based on registration, a merit list will be released, shortlisting elligible candidates for seat allocation. These candidates will be able to declare choices online.
Punjab NEET UG counselling is held in two rounds. However, the second round will only be conducted if any seats are left vacant after the first round of Punjab NEET counselling. A candidate who has qualified NEET 2025 and got domicile of Punjab can apply for the state quota seats of Punjab. Candidates must note that the applications for the counselling of Punjab NEET 2025 will be accepted in online mode only. Applications submitted offline or through email will not be accepted. During counselling, candidates have to declare choice for college and course and lock them. Based on choice submitted by candidate, seats availablity, NEET 2025 scores, seats will be allotted for Punjab MBBS/BDS admission 2025. A total of 1750 MBBS and 1260 BDS seats will be allotted through the counselling rounds.
Punjab NEET 2025 Counselling Eligibility
Candidates who wish to apply for Punjab NEET counselling 2025 are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before registering online. Ineligible candidates will not be considered for the seat allotment process and the counselling fee paid by them will be forfeited. The eligibility criteria for Punjab NEET counselling is as follows:

Punjab NEET 2025 Counselling Process
Admission to the MBBS and BDS seats that fall under the 85% state quota will be through Punjab NEET counselling 2025. Candidates who qualify NEET 2025 will have to register themselves on the official website of BFUHS. After completing the registration process, they will have to submit their course and college preferences online. Based on these choices, BFUHS will prepare the seat allotment list. The steps involved in Punjab NEET 2025 counselling have been elaborated below:
Step 1: Registration
To participate in Punjab NEET counselling 2025, it is mandatory for the candidate to register on the official website of BFUHS. Candidates who fail to register within the stipulated timeframe will not be eligible for Punjab NEET 2025 counselling.

Register using mobile number and email ID

Enter details such as name, father’s name, preference of course, college, category, quota, NEET 2024 marks, etc.

Complete the application form

Note down the registration ID and password for future reference
Step 2: Depositing the registration/application fee for Punjab NEET counselling

The application fee for the Punjab NEET 2025 counselling has to be paid online

The application fee can be paid using credit card/debit card/net banking

If a candidate fails to deposit the application fee for Punjab NEET 2025 counselling, their application will not be considered

Step 3: State Merit List
BFUHS will prepare a state merit list and will upload it on the official website of the institute. The merit list will include only those candidates who had registered themselves on the official website of BFUHS. Apart from the state ranking, a candidate will also be ranked on the basis of the category that he/she belongs to.
Step 4: Institutional preferences
Next step in the counselling process of Punjab NEET is to choose the college/institute of preference. Candidates need to login into their registered accounts and choose from the choices provided. The seats will be allocated to the candidates based on the choices filled in this stage; hence, a candidate must choose the options wisely.
Step 5: Seat allocation list
Next, a seat allocation list will be prepared by BFUHS. This list will be prepared on the basis of the choices filled by the candidates and their state merit. The seat allotment list will also be available on the official website of the institute.
Step 6: Reporting to the allocated institute
Candidates who make it to the seat allotment list of Punjab NEET counselling 2025 will have to report to the allocated institute for verification of their documents. After the verification of the documents and the eligibility of the applicant, the head of the institute will issue a bank challan for the deposition of the fee.

Step 7: Depositing the tuition fee
The last step is to deposit the tuition fee in the bank. Candidates have to deposit the tuition fee online. Candidates can refer to the table below to know the fee structure of the medical/dental colleges in Punjab.
