The playoff push is often when the stars shine brightest, so our favorite picks today will be loaded with high-profile names.Props have continued to rise in popularity all season. They are not only fun to follow while watching games, but they also seem to produce fewer "bad beats" than standard moneyline, spread, and over/under bets. You don't always have to hitch your wagon to an entire team or put all your proverbial chips on a certain final score. In the world of props, you can simply bet on one player to produce or fail to produce at a certain level.Every Thursday, we scour to pinpoint one potentially-lucrative prop for each NFL game of the upcoming slate. It could be a player or team prop that wefind the most interesting, most promising, or both. These prop wagers can involve offense, defense, special teams, or general scoring, but they all offer bettors distinct value based on stats and trends.Last week was . Highlighting our hits was Jalen Hurts +100 to score (he finished with three rushing TDs) and Tyler Lockett's receiving yards OVER (despite a broken finger). And don't get me started on the Patriots. Trevor Lawrence's sophomore-year breakout has directly coincided with the emergence of Cray-Zay, and a little bit (okay, a lot) of rain can't slow down this freight train. Stud cornerback and Defensive Rookie of the Year frontrunner Sauce Gardner likely can, but Gardner should spend plenty of time covering Christian Kirk, who is 34 yards away from his first 1,000-yard season and leads the Jags in TDs. It's not an easy call, but anyone who can put up 109 yards and three Zach Duke Jersey TDs against the Cowboys should be able to find pay dirt at least once against the Jets. We also like Jags tight end Evan Engram at +230 to score.Bills at Bears: James Cook OVER 10.5 receiving yards ()Bills offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey has made his rookie back a regular feature of this high-flying Josh Allen-led offense, especially since Buffalo traded away Zack Mo s at the deadline. And with this post-storm Chicago game expected to hit low temperatures in the single-digits with 22 mile-per-hour winds, we expect plenty of short dump-offs. Cooks has racked up 15 targets over the past four weeks, averaging 17.25 yards per game in that span. Maybe he'll ball out extra hard against the Chi, since his bro Dalvin plays for Bears' rival Minnesota.Browns vs. Saints: Donovan Peoples-Jones UNDER 32.5 receiving yards ()This game could very easily be one of the worst weather contests of the entire season, smack-dab in the middle of a three-day snowstorm with temps in the low-teens and winds approaching 30 miles per hour. Yeesh! Deshaun Watson hasn't looked that great even in good conditions in his two wins this season, he finished with pa sing-yard totals of 131 yards and 161 yards, respectively. The Saints have also been pretty good at defending the pa s this season, having held six of their past eight opponents to under 190 pa sing yards (and the Falcons to under 90 last week). The Browns who will benefit from the blizzard-like conditions will be RBs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, wideout Amari Cooper, and tight end David Njoku. In fantasy and on the prop bet market, DPJ is a do-not-play.Titans vs. Texans: Derrick Henry anytime TD scorer ()The Texans are God-awful at defending the running game, in case you haven't heard. They have allowed 1,978 rushing yards nearly 200 more than the next-worst rushing defense, the Chargers and surrendered 17 rushing TDs and 20 total RB scores (both three more than any other squad). With Ryan Tannehill 'most likely' out for the season with an ankle injury (and definitely OUT this week), Mike Vrabel will lean on King Henry to produce the points. Hell, I'd even consider Henry +350 to score two TDs.WEEK 16 DFS: | Seahawks vs. Chiefs: D.K. Metcalf OVER 76.5 receiving yards ()With Tyler Lockett out following finger surgery, Seahawks Pro Bowler Geno Smith will be leaning even more heavily on his No. 1 target. The Chiefs' front-seven has stepped it up over the past couple months, but Kansas City's secondary remains very much beatable. The Chiefs have allowed the eighth-most receptions in the NFL this season, and have allowed 286 air yards per game acro s its past five meetings with above-average pa sing offenses. A rainy day in Seattle won't hurt Metcalf as much as it will affect the linebackers and defensive backs covering him.WEEK 16 DFS LINEUPS: | Vikings vs. Giants: T.J. Hockenson anytime TD scorer ()Hock has four TDs and two extra-point conversions on the season, but surprisingly he hasn't found the end zone for Minnesota since Week 12. He did catch a two-pointer last week, though, giving us plenty of optimism for some positive TD regre sion this week. The last time New York faced a formidable pa s-catching tight end like Hockenson was Thanksgiving against the Cowboys, when Dalton Schultz scored not one but two TDs.Patriots vs. Bengals: Rhamondre Stevenson OVER 62.5 rushing yards ()'Mondre has been an absolute stud for Bill Belichick's Patriots this season, and he should continue to lead a backfield that includes banged-up Damien Harris and two youngsters. Sure, he may have started the worst lateral sequence in profe sional football history, but he's not the reason it ended the way it did. Cincy has been pretty good against running games in the home stretch of the season, but it has allowed plenty of run-first teams to go off throughout the course of the campaign. Over the past ten weeks, the Bengals have ceded 192.2 ground yards per game. Given his lack of backfield competition, this seems like a safe bet for Stevenson, who averages five yards per carry and just put up 172 yards on the Raiders last weekend.Panthers vs. Lions: D. Rod Carew Jersey J. Moore OVER 52.5 receiving yards ()I almost opted instead for the other D.J. D.J. Chark to go OVER 32.5 receiving yards (-115), but Moore's talent and Detroit's inept pa sing D are too good a combination to pa s up. Sam Darnold clearly prioritizes getting the stud receiver involved Moore has at least six targets, four catches, and a TD in two of Carolina's past three games. He reached 73 air yards last week against Pittsburgh and 103 two weeks prior against the stout secondary of the Broncos. No squad has surrendered more receiving yards than the Lions give me Moore.Ravens vs. Falcons: J.K. Dobbins OVER 56.5 rushing yards ()The Ravens have struggled a bit without Lamar Jackson (knee), with most of their i sues stemming from a miserable pa sing game. Dobbins will be relied upon early and often to mount Baltimore's charge against the Falcons, who have yielded the 11th-most rushing yards to RBs this season. You're not going to want to wager on many Tyler Huntley or Desmond Ridder props.49ers vs. Commanders: Christian McCaffrey OVER 78.5 rushing yards ()We almost went with Commanders QB Taylor Heinicke +105 to pa s for OVER 204.5 yards, but we don't have the stones. Thus, we'll play it safe and go with the stud back for the heavily-favored home team. CMC has kicked thing into a new gear the past couple weeks, ama sing a combined 227 rushing yards against Tampa and Seattle. Washington has allowed an average of 143 ground yards per game over its past three contests. Expect the Pro Bowler to have a strong game against former coach Ron Rivera and the 'manders this weekend.Cowboys vs. Eagles: Dallas OVER 26.5 points ()Dak Brian Dozier Jersey Prescott and the Cowboys should capitalize on the opportunity for a big divisional win with Eagles QB and MVP candidate Jalen Hurts likely sitting this weekend (shoulder). And with Gardner Minshew likely failing to control the clock as much as Hurts does, expect plenty of points on the board for a Dallas offense ranking third in scoring. Three different teams the Lions, Commanders, and Packers have put up at least 32 points against Philly this season. The 'boys make it four this weekend, setting the stages for a hopeful rematch with Hurts healthy in the playoffs.Raiders at Steelers: Davante Adams OVER 72.5 receiving yards ()The Raiders almost lo s to a lowly Patriots offense last week, but ultimately got bailed out by the most boneheaded tie-game lateral show in the history of the NFL. Well, one thing's for sure: when Vegas isn't on the receiving end of early Christmas gifts, Davante Adams has been the common denominator in Raiders wins this season. Look at his receiving numbers acro s Vegas's five Ws prior to last week: nine for 101, eight for 95, seven for 141, seven for 74, and eight for 177. With the Raiders favored by 2.5 on the road, we're going with Adams to bounce back from his 28-yard showing against New England. And that's rain, sleet, or snow this man played at Lambeau for years, let's not forget!Dolphins vs. Packers: Tyreek Hill OVER 87.5 receiving yards ()The Cheetah knows no bounds, regardle s of its surroundings. Hill came up big in Buffalo last weekend, catching nine pa ses for 69 yards and a TD despite a dinged-up Robbie Grossman Jersey ankle, bitter cold, and periods of snow. The craziest part is, that marked the fourth-worst yardage total Hill has posted this season. He averages 109.2 receiving yards per game, and had logged 81, 146, and 85 in the three games prior to the Bill game. The Packers are the second-best pa s defense in terms of yardage, thanks in large part to Pro Bowl corner Jaire Alexander. But nobody can contain Hill in a must-win game in perfect weather conditions.Broncos at Rams: Los Angeles UNDER 15 points ()We're taking a risk here, but we feel it's worth it for the plus odds. Newflash: Baker Mayfield is not good, as evidenced by the Rams' pitiful 12-point offensive performance in Green Bay last week. They'll look even worse against Denver, one of the best overall pa sing defenses in the NFL. If you think L.A. can manage more than two touchdowns or more than one TD and two field goals then I gue s stay away. But we're chasing a juicy payout and expecting Baker to cook it up for us.Buccaneers at Cardinals: Tampa Bay to wingame total UNDER 30.5 points ()Here's our lottery prop! With Trace McSorley under center for Arizona, things could get very ugly for Kliff Kingsbury's offense. And things alreadyugly for the Buccaneers! This could very well be a sloppy Tampa win disguised as a defensive battle. We'll take our chances with a volatile mini-parlay so we can go for the +1400 gold.Chargers at Colts: Los Angeles OVER 24 points ()The Colts blew a 33-point advantage in the second half against the Vikings last weekend, in case you hadn't heard yet. They look like they are basically ready for this season to be over, with the icing on the gro s cake coming when Jonathan Taylor was placed on IR. It doesn't matter who starts at QB for Indy if it doesn't have an offensive line. The Chargers' otherwise-woeful defense might look elite this weekend, and Justin Herber should absolutely light up the field with his full arsenal of weapons intact.
