How to Engrave Small Wood Pieces with a Wood Laser Marking Machine

Many people think that laser marking machines are generally used more on metal materials. Today, we will talk about how laser marking machines achieve engraving on wood.

Not all laser marking machines can achieve good processing on wood, but CO2 laser marking machines can do it easily.

A wood laser marking machine is essentially a CO2 laser marking machine. Its wavelength is different from that of YAG machines, so it has better absorption on non-metallic materials.

If you are only doing simple marking or engraving on wood, then 10W to 100W is sufficient.

If you need to create large-format graphics with thickness, you will need to choose a high-power CO2 laser marking machine, preferably with a power of 300W.

Raw wood (unprocessed timber) is by far the most commonly used laser processing material, as it is very easy to engrave and cut.

Light-colored woods such as birch, cherry, or maple are easily vaporized by the laser, making them particularly suitable for engraving.

Each type of wood has its own characteristics. Some are denser, such as hardwoods, which require higher laser power for engraving or cutting.

As manufacturers, we recommend studying the engraving characteristics before engraving unfamiliar wood.

In daily life, there are actually many products marked by wood laser marking machines that we see.

For example, inscriptions on combs, small wooden logo carvings, QR codes, barcodes, and serial numbers on wood can all be achieved with a CO2 laser marking machine.

The CO2 laser marking machine launched by Zixu can achieve laser marking on wood with stable performance and can work for a long time.

It adopts a high-speed digital scanning head, which is small in size, fast in speed, and has good stability. The laser power is controlled by software, continuously adjustable, and can simultaneously achieve marking and cutting on a single product.

The complete system features: fast speed, clear marking, wear resistance, high engraving and cutting efficiency, environmental protection, low operating cost, and can be independently installed on production lines according to customer needs.
